At one of the most respected and prestigious international competitions in industrial design, red dot design awards, Cher - bathroom furniture manufactured by Kolpa, d.d in collaboration with studio Grafik in Fanatik from Nova Grica, recently received a prestigious award in the field of industrial designs awarded by the expert jury. The design experts awarded products that are renowned for particularly perfected design solutions. The gala award ceremony will be held at the Essen opera house, Aalto Theater, on 5th June 2010.

Description of the product:
Functionality of the environment, discovering space and creating new dimensions. The furniture placed in a small space discovers the variety of use, it creates a new living environment, while maintaining the standards and functionalities of classic bathroom furniture. It was developed with the emphasis of shape and the quality of the production is directed towards maritime, RVs and smaller living environments. The furniture is starting and indicating the arrival of a new concept of usable space in different environments, such as the living room, lobbies, kitchen halls…

"All products that received an award at the red dot competition had to convince an international jury with their quality. The products stand out from the mass of similar products because of their excellent design and innovative approaches and at the same time, they have to prove their quality at one of the most demanding design competitions in the world," explained the design expert, dr. Peter Zec, who is the founder of the red dot competition. This year's red dot award completion: product design included designers with the total of 4252 products from 57 countries.

Bathroom furniture Cher will be exhibited from 6th July to 1st August together with all other awarded products at the Design on stage - Winner of the red dot award: product design 2010 exhibition at the Red dot design museum located in the Zeche Zollverein, a world heritage site. The museum exhibits approximately 1500 product on 4000 square meter area, which makes it the largest permanent collection of modern design achievements in the world,.
